She’s earned substantial praise from the critics. Roger Ebert said “Has there been a better performance this year than Ellen Page’s Creation of Juno? I do not think so.”
Her 2009 Roller Derby movie Whip It was Drew Barrymore's long anticipated directorial debut. She took the leading role again with this performance and is fantastic, complete with her own skating!
