Though she had been acting since 1994, Scarlett Johansson became more well know through her role opposite Bill Murray in Sofia Coppola's film Lost in Translation.

You may have seen her in The Nanny Diaries, The Other Boleyn Girl opposite Natalie Portman or in anyone of the three Woody Allen movies Match Point, Scoop or Vicky Christina Barcelona.

In 2009 Scarlett sexes up the new Iron Man 2 movie in a body-hugging catsuit. She performed all her own stunts, the fighting and wire work which really shows on the screen.

Scarlett has a twin brother Hunter who was born three minutes apart and is 6'3"!

"The most important three minutes of my life" she said.

Scarlett has made the comment that they were about as much of twins as is Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito.

A New York native, Scarlett is named after Scarlett O'Hara from Gone With The Wind and Scarlett's mother's name is Melanie who is also a character, Melanie Hamilton, in Gone With The Wind.
In 2007 she took a turn towards music. She sung back up vocals for The Jesus And Mary Chain at the Coachella festival. She recorded an album of her own which received impressive reviews.

She can be seen on Broadway in A View from the Bridge"and is nominated for a Tony.
