Love Sales? Macys Black Friday
"Bring It!"
Friday November 26, the day after Thanksgiving is Macys Black Friday, the start of the Christmas shopping season.

Unless you're the girl who shops all year long for Christmas and Hanukkah Gifts and has a stash of presents hidden away in the closet you're going to want to think about shopping at Macy's for holiday specials. If you're prepared when the holiday season comes, you're one step ahead of us!
This sales event draws in huge crowds and is one of the busiest shopping days of the year. There can be shoulder-to-shoulder crowds of people that can lead to a hectic shopping experience, so be prepared for that. You'll see a lot of press about holiday sales on television as well. There are huge discounts if you can handle the crowds. This November 26, 2010 Macy's will be open at 5:00 a.m.!

Do you know what the head of Macy's did in 1941?In 1936, when the new president of Macy's realized that Thanksgiving day would fall on the last day of November (giving less shopping day that year between X-mas & Thanksgiving) he suggests to the President of the United States, President Roosevelt that Thanksgiving should fall permanently on the fourth Thursday of November. Congress passes this into law two years later in 1941!
