Petite Wannabe

I can't decide if I want to be taller or shorter, but at 5'4" I'm right on the edge, which makes shopping a challenge. Regular slacks are way too long, even with heels, and petite slacks are slightly too short, even in flats!

Weight has always been an issue for me, but when things are working right, I enjoy shopping at petite clothing stores or at least in the petite section of department stores. Petite clothing just fits me better, in the torso and in the arm length!

Casual Corner and Petite Sophisticates used to be my favorites, but I think they may be out of business now. The Coldwater Creek catalog still has a nice petite section and that is where I bought this favorite little black petite dress. In fact, I liked it so much that I bought two of the same dress--in two different sizes! (Hey, a girl's got to be prepared!) I love it because like all "little black dresses" it can be dressed up or worn casually.

Some of my best shopping moments have been in the "petite section" and I consider it a great privilege when I get to shop there!
